What is pre care and aftercare for cosmetic tattooing?
Before care is basically the prep you do before your procedure to make sure the canvas that is your skin is in prime condition to accept pigmentation with little irritation or complications.
Aftercare is how you take care of the tattoo afterwards to ensure your fresh tattoo heals well and to avoid infection.
Why is aftercare so important?
Aftercare can make or break your permanent makeup! Following the instructions and do’s and don’ts below will ensure you give your brows, lips or eyeliner the best conditions to heal as beautifully as possible.
It might sound complicated, but honestly it’s not at all. I just try to give you as much information as possible because I take your face seriously. And let’s be real, it’s just a little maintenance for a whole lot of no maintenance!

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
One hour after your appointment, wipe your brows or lips with the waterwipe provided. This will stop the lymphatic fluid from drying and forming a crust.
Repeat these steps every morning and night for 7-14 days until healed:
Splash your face with warm water and GENTLY wash your brows or lips with a gentle fragrance free and soap free cleanser such as Cetaphil, QV or Dermaveen. Rinse with warm water until no soap remains. Do not use too much water or have the water running too hard.
Pat dry with tissues or cotton rounds.
Then apply a rice grain-sized amount of the provided ointment or Bepanthen to each brow or lip. Never apply ointment to damp skin and don’t suffocate them by applying too much ointment.
Apply the balm once or twice more during the day to keep them moist. (Lips can have ointment applied as much as needed).
Continue to apply the ointment once a day for 1 month.
